The Sofisticato Ceiling Lamp N.01 & N.02 bring a refined twist to classic spotlights, mounted elegantly on a circular base. Crafted from blue steel that is hand-heated and polished, each light features a sophisticated, artisanal finish. With a smart cylinder design that ensures a gentle glow without shining directly into your eyes, these lights add both style and comfort to any room.
Designed by Koen van Guijze for Serax, the Sofisticato collection of timeless lighting makes an understated statement. Or as Koen Van Guijze describes it: “A straightforward material, fashioned by human hands, not spat out by a machine.”
Every single part is manually milled, turned, sawn, drilled, and welded by craftsmen. Then the steel is heated and carefully polished by hand. This procedure makes the steel rust-resistant, in addition to giving it its characteristic blue glow.

View reviewEnter The Loft saved me this Christmas! I already had a present for my husband but it wasn't available (too complex to explain here), and I needed something at short notice. We already have a set of beautiful Hasamai porcelain bowls, so I decided to get some matching plates, but I was not optimistic that they would arrive on time. I ordered the plates late on the 20th, and had them in house two days later. He's delighted with the plates, I got to relax and enjoy Christmas, and I've discovered a wonderful new shop (EtL) that I'll definitely be visiting in the new year.
