Steeped in tradition, the Heritage Lantern is meticulously crafted by a team of five skilled artisans over five weeks, employing 190 precise processes for each individual piece. This pendant lamp, made from 90% natural materials, including waxed cotton canvas and a subtly curved bamboo frame, emits a soft and warm glow. View how it's made.

The black lantern color is inspired by Wu Xing 五行. Black presents Shui 水 water. It signifies trust and calm. The lantern is finished with a layer of Tung oil which gives the lantern a smooth satin finish. This thoughtful combination of traditional symbolism and craftsmanship results in a lantern that not only emanates warmth and charm but also carries the essence of cultural significance.

The Heritage Lantern is also available in white and black. Besides the Heritage line, we also have the Plant Dyed Lanterns in brown and blue.
