Floris is an esthete at heart. He has developed this feeling at quite an early age. Safe to say it’s clearly in his DNA. Whether it is in architecture, furniture, lighting, cooking or fashion - he experiences it all with whole hearted passion and keeps on tuning every detail until the ideal balance is accomplished.
Kassandra kicked off her creative career as an eyewear designer. Only for her, designing the frames was just the beginning. Over the years, she moved from eyewear to interiors and instinctively sharpened her sense for interior styling. Her feminine touch and intuition for trends make her the perfect addition to the pack.
Hubert’s strong urge to be original and his inflatable sense for the aesthetic, make him a great designer. Hubert has an existential love for natural products, materials and artisanal production methods, but knows how to appreciate high-tech materials just as well. His designs breathe a human and personal authenticity. His work can be described as ‘perfecting the imperfect’.
Sara's background is in design, but as a maker she has always been more interested in the creative process and the story behind a product. She has refined her sense of colour, materials and tactility over the years; while simultaneously developing her writing for different creative platforms.
We have a deeply rooted love for natural materials – and a rather unsubtle aversion from nonrecycled plastic. We like our stuff to be either carved out of wood, cut from leather, blown into glass or drummed into steel. We love wool. And covet ceramics. These materials tell a lot about the love and attention invested in a product.
We love objects that stay close to their origin. Take oak – as a living tree it’s at its very best, of course. Yet good design can capture this beauty in essence. We’re particularly fond of design that draws you to the edge of your seat, that makes you want to touch it, get to know it better and understand it a little more.
