​Established in Antwerp more than 25 years ago by two friends, Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse, ​​​​​​Ethnicraft quickly found its identity. Today we continue to broaden our creative palette, developing and extending a collection that remains true to our character.

Centred around aspects of quality and warm materials, alongside form and function, we create collections for every room or space: from the furniture that defines the purpose of an area, to the accessories that layer it with meaning.

Your home should be made from more than just objects. It should be filled with items that have meaning, making your home feel lived-in and quintessentially yours.


How it all began

One single container full of decorative items from Indonesia. That is how Ethnicraft's story began.

In 1995, Philippe brought back furniture and interior accessories from his travel in Indonesia, in order to sell them at home in Antwerp. Soon, him and Benoid joined forces as long- time friends and started to import one container every few months.

One year later, they had clients waiting at the Antwerp docks, numbered ticket in hand, to buy that one special item they coveted. They quickly decided to design and produce our own furniture and set up a first manufacturing site in Indonesia.

Today, outstanding craftsmanship is at the core of the brand, and behind the simplicity of their pieces lies a constant drive for innovation. Incorporating advanced techniques to our process of creation, each new design is revised and reworked to the last detail.

Their collections go back to the essence of what we believe is good design: pieces full of character, made from quality materials that age beautifully.
